A-Series Impellers

Hydrofoil

A-Series
JM Engineering hydrofoil impellers produce a high flow rate ideal for mixing, solids suspension and flocculation in most low viscosity liquids. The narrow blade design is highly efficient and the low shear rate is gentle on liquids. Ranging from 200mm diameter to over 6m and available in two, three or four blade configurations, these impellers are suitable for a huge range of mixing applications.

Standard Features

  • Diameter: 200 mm ~ 6+ m
  • Material: Stainless Steel 316
  • Applications: Low shear mixing, solids suspension and flocculation in low viscosity fluids.

JM Engineering impellers can be customised to suit all mixing applications. If the options you require are not listed below, please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Material Options

Our standard impellers and shafts are supplied in Stainless Steel Grade 316. To cater for various applications and environments, our impellers and shafts are also available in materials such as:-

    • Stainless Steel: 304 / 316
    • Duplex Stainless Steel: SAF2205 / SAF2507
    • Carbon Steel: GR250 / GR350 / 4140
    • Exotic Alloys: IN-600 / Ti-2

Configuration Options

Hydrofoil impellers are available in a number of configurations to suit various applications. These options include:

  • Fixed or Folding Blades
  • 2, 3 or 4 Blades
  • Welded or Bolt-on Blades

Finishing Options

JM Engineering can provide a range of finishing options for all shafts and impellers. This ensures a long, trouble free life in a variety of environmental conditions.  Select from our standard range of coating systems, or we can adhere to your own specifications. Standard options include:

    • Rubber Lined –  Shafts and impellers may be coated in butyl rubber for highly abrasive mixing applications. This prolongs the life of the wetted end and assists in corrosion prevention.
    • Polished –  Shafts and impellers can be electro-polished for a high quality, mirror finish. This may be required in hygenic applications such as pharmaceutical and food manufacturing.
