The following document sets fourth the Privacy Policy for the JM Engineering website, www.jmengineering.com.au.

JM Engineering is committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully and in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (Privacy Amendment (Enhancing Privacy Protection) Act 2012 (Cth)).

We collect information about you for 2 reasons: firstly, to process your enquiry and second, to provide you with the best possible service.

We will only e-email you in the future in regards to enquiries submitted through our online contact form or in response to your direct email enquiry.

We collect information in two ways:

1. Information provided by you.

When contacting us via the online contact form or via direct email we may collect information such as:

  • Your Name
  • E-mail address
  • The name and nature of the organisation you represent
  • Your phone number
  • Documents related to your enquiry

 

2. Information we get when you visit our site.

When visiting our site, your browser may store a “cookie” which allows us to gather browsing statistics and patterns. You can usually modify your browser to prevent this happening. The information collected in this way cannot be used to personally identify you.

This information may include:

  • Your IP address
  • Your location
  • Your browsing patterns

 

We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent. We will disclose to you what information we hold, and remove any personal information we hold, upon receiving a written request from you.

JM Engineering may occasionally hire other companies to provide services on our behalf, including but not limited to external consultants, transport services, trade service providers and financial service providers. Those companies will be permitted to obtain only the personal information they require to deliver the service. JM Engineering  takes reasonable steps to ensure that these organisations are bound by confidentiality and privacy obligations in relation to the protection of your personal information. In most cases your personal information will be withheld from third parties.

The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law.
